Extra and special baggage

  • Extra bags

Adding a bag through Manage booking is cheaper than paying at the airport. Sample online price is $45 for 23 kg on domestic and regional flights.

  • Excess weight

Individual bags over the stated weight are charged per kilogram at the airport. No single bag may exceed 32 kg for handling safety reasons.

  • Sports and musical equipment

Golf bags, bicycles and instruments should be declared at least 48 hours before departure so hold space can be confirmed.

Items that cannot travel

  • Lithium batteries and power banks must travel in cabin baggage, never in the hold.
  • Aerosols, flammable liquids and camping gas are not permitted in either cabin or hold.
  • Sharp items, tools and sporting equipment must be checked in, not carried in the cabin.
  • Liquids in cabin baggage are limited to containers of 100 ml in a single resealable bag.

If you are unsure whether something can travel, ask before you pack.
