Payments, changes and refunds

Know the rule attached to your ticket

The ticket's fare conditions come first. Use this page to find the right process, then confirm the exact rule for the booking before making a change.

Paying for a booking

Complete payment before the time limit.

Air Zimbabwe's published payment guidance says an unpaid reservation can be cancelled when the payment deadline shown in the booking confirmation passes.

Debit or credit card

Online card payments use 3D Secure where supported by the issuing bank.

Cash or bank transfer

Published as available methods. Ask the sales office for the correct currency and account instructions.

Card terminal or swipe

Availability can depend on the sales location. Keep the payment receipt with the ticket record.

3D Secure and one-time passwords

Where the card is enrolled, the issuing bank can send a one-time password to the mobile number registered with that bank. Air Zimbabwe does not enrol the card in 3D Secure during checkout.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

Start with the ticket issuer.

Refundability, change fees and no-show penalties depend on the fare rules. Do not cancel a journey until the issuer has explained the consequence for that ticket.

Group travel

Ten or more passengers travelling together.

The current published policy treats ten passengers travelling together throughout the journey as a group quotation. It describes a 20% non-refundable deposit within seven days of confirmation, the balance 15 days before departure and passenger names five days before departure. These are commercial terms and must be reconfirmed for the quotation.

Policy summary reviewed on 12 August 2026. It does not replace the conditions on the ticket, a written quotation or applicable passenger law.
